Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Berkeley will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5–9:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 898-1689. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is glomthai.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 45 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in Berkeley and suggests consistent service.

Loved this cozy Thai spot! The food was delicious and beautifully served. My favorites were the crispy Stuffed Wings, Crispy Morning Glory Salad, Whole Fried Fish with Thai Herb Salad, and the tender Massaman Lamb. We finished with the Brown Butter Banana Toast, which was so good with the melting vanilla ice cream. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Such a lovely experience - I’ll definitely be back

I really loved the crispy fried mushrooms and the glass noodle larb with Chicken this dishe was so fresh, flavorful, and had just the right balance of lime, making them taste bright and refreshing. The Pla Lui Suan (fried fish with Thai herbs) came with a very generous amount of herbs and toppings. Personally, it was a little too much for me, but I can see why others would enjoy it. Overall, the food tasted authentically Thai, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. I would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Came here with friends and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and everything looked beautiful when it came to the table. My favorite was the crispy mushroom appetizerβ€”it was super crispy and went really well with the dipping sauce. The spicy seafood cha cha were also delicious, and the glory salad was fresh with a nice balance of flavors. We ended up ordering dessert too, and it was definitely worth it. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, making it a great spot for a date or a nice meal with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back with my boyfriend next time. Highly recommend!

Great Thai food in a cozy intimate setting. A lot of thai restaurants tend to shy away from bold flavors and stick with a safe sweet and salty palette. Glom makes a statement with spices, vegetables, and umami reminiscent of street food from Bangkok or Chiangmai. Their Khao Soi is an outstanding example of this. Another favorite of mine is the morning glory salad β€” a dish that’s practically impossible to find elsewhere. The crispness of the morning glory combined with the refreshing salad dressing makes it unforgettable. I’ve been back a few times since their opening and will keep coming back for more! (oh yea, don’t forget to book in advance, the spots fill up fast)
